About The Author

I was born and raised in the Midwest--Missouri, to be precise. A few years ago, I was transplanted into the dusty soil of Northern California and have apparently taken root there. An inveterate geek and gamer, I am a fan of many things considered pop culture and maybe even lowbrow. I'm a particular fan of Joss Whedon. Seriously. If he wrote it, I'm in.

The Signal Bend Series is now complete, with seven books and a novella released : Move the Sun, Behold the Stars, Into the Storm, Alone on Earth, In Dark Woods (the novella), All the Sky, Show the Fire, and Leave a Trail.

CARISSA'S REVIEW

3.5 "I'm not known to feed my fucks." stars

What happens when a small town that never changes meets a mysterious woman that is unlike anything the town folks have seen before.

Sexy
Bad-ass
Beautiful

BAD-ASS

But, what happens when said mysterious woman catches the eye of non other than the President of the Night Horde MC, Isaac.

"Well-worn black engineer boots. Dark straight-leg Levis. Black button-down shirt, folded back on his arms and open at the throat. Leather cuffs. Leather kutte. Black Ray-Bans. He looked like Mr. June in the Harley Biker Beefcake calendar."

AND IT BEGINS

"Are you asking me on a date? Won't the town gossips have a field day?"

"Baby, they started hearing wedding bells when they saw us at Marie's. I'm not known to feed my fucks. There's nothing we could do to stir them up more--unless I knock you up, which I have no intention of doin'."

What I like about this book:

It was different from most MC books. Lilli was not the atypical heroine in MC books. She's strong, determined, confident and has no qualms about kicking ass. Even Isaac's. And believe me, she did kick his ass. Inside out and between the sheets.

"Fuck, you have a great cock," she whispered.

"I think we're getting to know each other in the important ways first." He lifted her hand to his mouth for a kiss. His lips still brushing the back of her hand, he said. "You amaze me, Lilli. I'm not afraid to say I'm gettin' caught up here."

Isaac was raw and rugged. He had an edginess that made him sexy and panty wetting hawwttt.

However, yes there is a however. The book was slow and not very engaging until the ending when Lilli gets her target. That's when I was like

Yes!!!!
Finally! Something to make me feel happy.

I loved the ending.
