All three of my step-brothers had touched, tasted, and tempted every last bit of me.

And I enjoyed it.

All of it.

In book one, we see Sarah Atwood being kidnapped and used to obtain Atwood Industries. But as per her father's Will, the company would fall into the hands of the next male Atwood heir. The Bennetts kidnapped Sarah with hopes of procreating, to obtain Atwood Industries and ultimate power. But neither party counted on Sarah falling in love with Nicholas Bennett and allying herself with Max and Reed.

She had been a virgin only weeks ago. But, under my control, she was ravished, pleasured, and filled.

If lust heated my blood, then jealousy was the spark that would consume us in flame.

The punishment for losing their chance to seize Atwood Industries would be severe. And for that reason, Nicholas willing gave Sarah over to his brothers. To save their lives. To save her life.

Three men.

Three frustrations.

Three instinctual urges to rut, seed, and claim.

Nicholas gets one hell of a surprise, when his father pits him in front of select board members. All who know about Sarah Atwood and the plans of breeding a Bennett heir. As questions and commands poor out of each vile member. His father hits him with a few words that send his mind reeling.

"I know, Nicholas."

In hindsight Nicholas realizes the error of his actions and reactions. Revealing his father's knowledge of the intended Takeover.

" I was your age when I began to challenge my father."

" But do you know the difference between you and me?"

"Son, when I confronted my father, I was strong enough to win ."

From there on, Darius used Sarah to control Nicholas. Realizing that Nicholas's initial protests against the atrocities handed out to Sarah, along with the underlying threat of the Takeover. His hesitance, became their undoing.  Darius wasn't willing to understand the depth of Nicholas's feelings for Sarah, only looking towards the desired result. Breeding Sarah Atwood in order to obtain a Bennett heir. One that will help them attain Atwood Industries and align themselves with the Bennett corporation. Making them more powerful and more wealthy than any one man should have.

My taking of Sarah was no longer a sin, but it would damn us just the same. My father wasn't threatened by my plans to succeed him. He rose to the challenge.

And he chose to punish Sarah instead of me.

Where she has warmed with pleasure, she now paled with quiet fear.

I was their trophy. I was their pleasure. I would be their salvation.

Nothing ever prepared me for Max's demands.

He was built to impale, to crush, to dominate and hurt and force.

Falling in love with Nicholas Bennett was my only defense against his limitless power.

In light of the Bennett brothers rebellion against their father, nothing ever lasts for long. Having but a few tense hours of peace. Darius Bennett forces his sons to renegotiate based on his and only his rules. Either Sarah dies, he kills all his sons and Darius rapes her. Only to ensure an heir and protect the future of the Bennett Corporation.

Succumbing to her fear, her love and her men. Sarah lost two brothers to soon. She wasn't willing to sacrifice three men, three brothers. All who loved her differently and unconditionally. Who seeked to punish and ultimately save her.

I submitted if only to survive.

I submitted to save them.

Nicholas on the other hand, recoils in the unveiled truth of his love for Sarah. While loving her, he endangered her. Loving her will be their destruction, unless he provides an heir, but what would become of Sarah afterwards? What would happen to him and his brothers. Would Darius Bennett's evil web of deceit lead them all into the fire?

My father taught me to act like him. Speak for him. Rule like him. And for twenty-nine years of my life, I mindlessly obeyed. Then I was given Sarah Atwood. 

Then I realized I was born not to emulate a tyrant but to end it's reign.
