Title: Bad Intentions
Author: Nacole Stayton
Genre: Mature NA Romance
Release Date: August 6, 2015

She’s careful, but wants to be reckless.
She’s cute, but wants to be sexy.
She’s innocent, but wants to be bad.

When ex-Olympic gymnast, Adaley Knight wakes on her eighteenth birthday she only has one wish, to leave the only town she’s ever known and start fresh.
Finding herself enrolled at a college across the globe, the once modest Adaley is almost unrecognizable. Her new persona dances on the wild side by sinking her teeth into the first bad boy she sees. The only problem is he’s not the least bit interested.

Ryle Benson, baseball extraordinaire and brooding campus bad-boy keeps everyone at an arms length. Things have never come easy for him and the last thing he needs is getting involved with any female.

The tables are reversed as she tries to be bad, tempting fate, and he tries to fight his. The push and pull is half the fun. But what happens when one pushes a little too hard?

“Dare.” Ryle’s voice is cool, calm and collected as he mumbles his answer, like there isn’t another option.

“I dare you to—” Bradley’s interrupted by several females shouting in unison. “Take off your shirt!”

Ryle nods his head to the adorning crowd and grabs the rim of his shirt. Everyone with lady parts around the fire starts to drool. Me included. His movements are slow and sensual, and he doesn’t even bat an eye. Apparently removing an article of clothing in front of a crowd is a typical thing for him to do on a Saturday night. My needy eyes take notice to the “V” that waves hello to me as cloth is lifted from his body.

I melt.

Literally. My body fills like goo, and I wilt until nothing is left but a puddle of want and need.
“Ow ow.”

“Yumola!”
“Sexy beast.”

I feel like I need to wash my ears out. Rolling my eyes, I snatch Tank’s drink out of his hands and down it. Bottoms up.

Adaley Knight was on the fast track to becoming an Olympic gymnast. But when an injury hinders any future she planned on having, Adaley's world came crashing down. Suffering from Spondylolysis - a specific defect in the connection between the vertebrae, the bones that make up the spinal column. This defect leads to small stress fractures (breaks) in the vertebrae that weakens the bones to the point that one slips out of place. Because of this condition, Adaley's dreams for Olympic gold were shattered.

Growing up sheltered. Adaley was always different from her peers. As the preacher's daughter, boys steered clear of her, the girls gossiped about her, all the while she was slowly dying on the inside. Wanting to socialize, to be a normal teenager. Her ambitions was different than others her age. While they were out socializing, she was either in the gym, studying or doing something mundane.

No one knew how badly I wanted to escape. How deep the need had festered within me until it was too late. The part of me who longed to be perfect-to make her parents proud and put everyone's needs before her own- died. My accident had become an awakening.

She was the perpetual good girl. After her accident, she changed. Her life changed. She decided to live for her. To do what she wanted. Word of her change spread like wildfire through her small town. Adaley's decision to head to college out of state was sealed.

I slayed the girl who I was and prepared to meet the woman I wanted to become.

On her first day of college, Adaley meets three persons that will become her foundation while in college. Her roommate Zoe, Tank,- Zoe's brother, and Ryle Benson. On meeting Ryle their is an immediate attraction.

But he's a complete jerk to Adaley. Sarcastic and rude, enigmatic and withdrawn, with the bad boy college persona.

Ryle Benson, orphaned at a young age, when his crack head mother died in front of him. Jumping from foster home to foster home. Until one day he was blessed by being taken in by the Bensons. He was no longer a scared little boy fighting through the depths of other people's depravity just to survive. He was Ryle Benson, baseball extraordinaire. He was a survivor.

Adaley is deep into the college girl live style with the attitude to match. It's at these times Ryle finds it hard to see her past this fake persona. But there are times, few and far in between, where he sees a glimpse of the true Adaley. It's at those moments he likes her.

As much as he is ornery and definitely portrays some serious bipolar attitude. I understood, where Ryle was coming from. He is a straight forward guy. Simple and to the point.

Bad Intentions is a story about self discovery, a journey that one young girl takes in order to become the woman she wants to be. The path isn't easy and she must go against everything she grew up knowing. While grappling with a world unknown to her.

I felt as if I got whiplash from this book. The beginning was uneventful and confusing. I honestly, nearly dnf'd this book. Yet, I continued. At 68% is where things finally started and I was already to far gone with my reactions. Then when it finally gets good. Boom, big fight over a super simple matter. Then she goes off track and does somethings that got me extremely annoyed with Adaley, to the point of steaming mad. Now that ending...totally unexpected and totally not deserved. The story in no way led up to that ending. I felt as if it was thrown in just from extra drama, or for an impact, and honestly, I was angry over it.
