Amazon & USA Today Best Selling Author, Tillie Cole, is a Northern girl through and through. She originates from a place called Teesside on that little but awesomely sunny (okay I exaggerate) Isle called Great Britain. She was brought up surrounded by her English rose mother -- a farmer's daughter, her crazy Scottish father, a savagely sarcastic sister and a multitude of rescue animals and horses.

Being a scary blend of Scottish and English, Tillie embraces both cultures; her English heritage through her love of HP sauce and freshly made Yorkshire Puddings, and her Scottish which is mostly demonstrated by her frighteningly foul-mouthed episodes of pure rage and her much loved dirty jokes.

Having been born and raised as a Teesside Smoggie, Tillie, at age nineteen, moved forty miles north to the 'Toon', Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, where she attended Newcastle University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts honours degree in Religious Studies. She returned two years later to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching High School Social Studies. Tillie Cole, you are the goddess of words and the creator of spectacular, unique and the most spell binding stories to ever grace the reading world. TC brings us the second instalment in the Hangmen series and she doesn't disappoint one bit. This edition only serves to captivate and torture the reader until the last words have been read. Yearning for more and sadly having to wait for Flame's story in 2015. Bittersweet. :):) I love the way that TC captures the pain and heartbreak of each character and her ability to turn complex and devastating situations into beautifully broken portrayals of love and devotion. TC's understanding of twisted and dark fairy tales serves to excite the reader and render us speechless. Her characters are well development with compelling back stories that each shine through in each instalment. All fighting for family and love that will destroy them all, while completing them simultaneously. Perfection is a fallacy.

Heart Recaptured picks up where book 1 ended. A continuation of the Hangmen and Klan war. A battle against The Order. An Apocalyptic New Religious Movement, who's beliefs are based on selected Christian teachings, where polygamy and unorthodox religious practices keep the faith of the believers. Their practices involve ritual sexual acts performed in mass celebrations called the Lords Sharing. This practice serves to bring the male population closer to God and all the females are forbidden from experiencing pleasure as punishment for carrying the original sin of Eve and must perform the act when required as part of their sisterly duties. The Cursed, are women/girls in The Order deemed too naturally beautiful and inherently sinful. The Cursed are believed to be significantly more likely to sway men from the righteous path.

Delilah has been a Cursed from the age of six, when she was deemed the spawn of the devil, because her beauty led men and boys alike, to have impure thoughts and actions. Based on The Order's teachings she was inherently Cursed. Her blond hair, and big blue eyes framed by long lashes, her plump pink lips and soft delicate skin gave her an angelic appearance. A facade used by The Order to control and perform sexual acts in the name of Religion.

Prophet Cain has now taken over and is to lead his people to salvation. Salvation that needs the prophesized Cursed woman to marry the Prophet in order to set their people free from sin. Ky knows he's no good for Lilah. She is pure and good and much better than him. Ky is a outlaw, a ruthless bastard, who has fucked his way through every piece of pussy he's come into contact with. Lilah soon sets him straight.

You are loving.

These heartfelt words are only empty vessels. As they take one step forward into showing Lilah the lies she was led to believe, it's as if they are taking ten steps backward. Lilah refuses to believe that she was led astray by her people, her father, her Prophet. She continues to sprout scripture and her belief only grows stronger as she misconstrues the words and actions of others around her.

Lilah's insecurities and life long conditioning has led to her capture by The Order. Being dragged through her people, they looked upon her with disgust and Lilah felt like a stranger, as if she didn't belong.
