His Touch Makes Me Forget My Scars...

Melody

I had everything: looks, money, adoring fans all over the world. In a split-second, everything changed.

Now, I’m a prisoner in my own home, scared to face the world. Then one fateful night I meet him. Kade’s tough, fearless, and knows the meaning of the word loss. He’s also sexy as hell. When our worlds collide, neither one of us will be the same.

Kade

I’m a fighter. I have the scars to prove it, not just from the war, but from inside the ring too. And although we come from two different worlds, Melody’s scars run just as deep. After everything I’ve lost, it’s hard to keep fighting. But then Melody gives me a reason.

“Wow, this story is a emotional roller coaster ride! It's a story of two souls who have lost their will to live and their encounter that gives them hope. This story is a real page turner, it's heartbreaking, soul mending and steamy.”-Reading Keeps Me Sane Book Blog
"OMG! This book was amazing! The chemistry between the two characters. Wow! I laughed, cried, & got really angry. This book will send you on a roller coaster ride of emotions & feelings."-Amazon Reviewer

The Grey's provided me with a virtual intrusion into the lives of Kade and Melody. Experiencing two lost souls, with scars - both visible and invisible, was heartbreaking and emotional. Melody's insecurities has her being depressed, and exhibiting emotions lacking self esteem and self worth. One night, one moment changed the way Melody chose to live her life. Moving from being the up and coming big star and chart topper, singer/song writer and actress; to living in a self induced prison. Becoming a recluse, Melody has to find the strength to fulfill her obligations. To  the record label, herself and her fans.

Kade is an underground fighter. There's no rules, so everything goes. But in an attempt to save his son's life, Kade fails, and becomes indebted to a known crime lord. Now, he fight's to survive, in more ways the one.

Attempting to secure a new album, Melody decides to use sex as an escapism. In order to test the theory, she encounters Kade. Together, they both test the the dark waters that has become of their lives. And in turn, they both learn acceptance and grow as individuals. Sometimes, all it takes is a different perspective to give you hope.

This was a wonderful and eye opening read for me. I loved the differing dynamics at play. Both Kade and Melody's situations were different, yet, the over whelming feelings of lost and succumbing to circumstances wasn't.  At times, it was extremely difficult to relate to Melody, but that's because, it was hard to see myself in such a position. And even though I'm a mover and a shaker, never allowing others to get me down, I can assume, that human nature get's in the way at times.
