Reasonable Doubt Series - Volume 1-2 by Whitney Gracia Williams

Reasonable Doubt: Volume 1 (Reasonable Doubt #1)

Release Date: March 31st 2014

Synopsis

My cock has an appetite.

huge and very particular appetite: Blonde, curvy, and preferably not a fucking liar... (Although, that's a story for another day.)

As a high profile lawyer, I don't have time to waste on relationships, so I fulfill my needs by anonymously chatting and sleeping with women I meet online.

My rules are simple: One dinner. One night. No repeats.

This is only casual sex. Nothing more. Nothing less.

At least it was , until "Alyssa"...

She was supposed to be a 27 year old lawyer, a book hoarder, and completely unattractive. She was supposed to be someone I shared law advice with late at night, someone I could trust with details of my weekly escapades.

But then she came into my firm for an interview—a college-interninterview, and everything fucking changed...

Reasonable Doubt: Volume 2 (Reasonable Doubt #2)

Release Date: May 19th 2014

Synopsis

She lied to me...
She betrayed the one rule that I'm most adamant about: Honesty. Complete and utter fucking honesty.
I really wish she was someone else—someone who didn't have the ability to make me feel, someone I could easily discard like the hundreds of women before her.
She isn't.
I'm drawn to her like I've never been drawn to a woman before—completely captivated by the very sight of her. But unfortunately, with my past slowly re-surfacing for all of the world to see, I'll have to find a way to let her go.
She can never be mine.

Reasonable Doubt: Volume 3 (Reasonable Doubt #3)

Release Date: August 25th 2014

Synopsis

I hate him…

I hate that I fell in love with him, I hate that he didn’t love me back, and I hate the fact that I just made a life-altering decision just so I could get the hell away from him.

He’d always said that he was unchangeable, heartless, and cold…

I really should’ve believed him…

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A self diagnosed candy addict, travel junkie, and hypochondriac, Whitney Gracia Williams LOVES to write about characters that make you laugh, cry, and want to (in the case of Selena Ross) reach through your Kindle and slap them.

She is the "imaginary bestselling" author of the Jilted Bride Series, Mid Life Love, Wasted Love, and Captain of My Soul.

When she's not locked inside her room, feverishly typing away on her laptop, she can be found here:

She also loves getting emails from her readers, so if you want to tell her how much you loved (or hated) her stories, email her at whitgbooks@gmail.com!

My review of volumes 1-2 is prepared by each volume. Each review is written separately and is denoted by the name of each volume before the full review is written.

REVIEWof Reasonable Doubt: Volume 1 (Reasonable Doubt #1)

"Lies always catch up to people in the end."

This story BLEW ME away. I was constantly on the edge of my seat, waiting to be tipped over. The expectance and the sheer deliverance of this epic saga, was a capitulation of emotions. Exhilaratinglysexy, super charged with intensely dynamic words and laugh out loud hilarity.

“Thank you for telling me that my dick is in your prayers. I'd prefer if it was in your mouth.”

Andrew Hamilton, a.k.a Mr.Effing Sex God, with a mouth made to tempt, tease and devour, is a resiliently obtuse (insensitive, thick-minded) prick.

My cock has an appetite.

See what I mean!!! and I devoured every word that escaped his filthy, succulent lips.

His baser needs is now his facade. One, we all know has been created by some deeply embedded heartbreak, which utterly destroyed his entire world. Six years later and he's now Andrew Hamilton.

His mantra, a repetition of how he lives his life. 'Casual sex. Nothing more. Nothing less." Mr.Hot Shot lawyer loves sex, but he loves PUSSY!!!! more. A simple man with exquisite tastes. Andrew may be the most self assured cocky bastard their is, but he's brutally honest, with a curt and sarcastic persona that replicates no other.

He pays for it all. Expensive dinner. Five Star hotel suite. All you need to do is put out. And... not be a liar...

Andrew finds most, if not all of his one night conquests on-line. In an attempt to expand his network. Andrew signs up for an on-line lawyer network, hoping to find more women. Of course he uses a pseudonym, Thoreau. However, it is exactly, what it's name states. Lawyer chat is for professional seeking advice and support from other professionals, anonymously. This is where he stumbles upon 'Alyssa.'

And the beginnings of Thoreau and Alyssa start. Hold on to your seats ladies. It's gonna be a wild one.

Aubrey ak.a 'Alyssa' is a Pre-law student, that is on Lawyer chat in an attempt to get ahead with her pre-law classes. Her real passion is dance - Ballet in order to pursue ballet, she must take pre-law to keep her parents happy. Tit for tat as its said. She uses the chat site, and befriends 'Thoreau' -Andrew. They start a wonderfully enigmatic friendship based on pretenses and hidden agendas.

They both start divulging bits and pieces of themselves that keeps the other intrigued and wanting. 'Alyssa'/Aubrey is sexy and sassy and gives as good as Andrew gives.  Andrew wants to meet 'Alyssa' but she is constantly reminding him that she's his friend. His ONLY friend and that she's not his type. But despite 'Alyssa' trying to negate her not being his 'type' she is exactly that.

Andrew and Aubrey finally meet, in the most unexpected, yet inevitable of circumstances, or should I say, the 'most obvious' of circumstances. This is where all the extreme anger, lust and sex rage starts. All the lies are finally coming out and the truth is in the air. And I'll end my review with this:

I think certain lies have to be told and certain truths have to be withheld. The ultimate conviction is up to those who can discern which is which.

Sigh!!......... On to Volume 2.

Review of Reasonable Doubt: Volume 2 (Reasonable Doubt #2)

Volume 2 starts off right where Volume 1 ended. More Andrew!! and we get some insight into who he is.

Andrew was the epitome of what it meant to be an asshole, a shining example of what the word stood for, but no matter how pissed I was, I hadn't been able to stop thinking about him.

Aubrey is bristling with fury, she's mostly hurt and feels betrayed that Andrew kept a dire piece of information from her. But hell!! who the heck is Aubrey to talk! But is omission really a lie????

"I've never lied to you, Aubrey. I trust you for some strange reason...."

Sleeping with a married man! a big no no in Aubrey's book, especially when she didn't know he was married. An the hilarity continues"

"You're fucking married! Married! How could you - "
"How could you leave that part out?"
"I didn't," he said. "And for the record... I'm not technically married, Aubrey."
"I'm not technically stupid, Andrew."

And

"Why haven't you sucked a cock before?"

The hilarity of this series is spectacular. Andrew does not disappoint as all.He only reinforces his special brand.

Of course, Andrew breaks his own rules of One Dinner. One Night. No repeats.

"You're the only woman I've fucked regularly in six years."

As much as Andrew admitted this, he kept thinking he must be out of his mind. Aubrey was weaving her own little place within his home and within his heart.

A hard and cold face to face with his past and reality just sets right back in. Sometimes, just sometimes the scars are too much to bear.

It all comes back to the LIES.

"I'm saying that you need to get all of your things so I can take you home, and from here on out, you are my intern and I am your boss. You will forever be Miss Everhart, and to you I'll be Mr.Hamilton."

"Andrew..."

"Mr.Fucking. Hamilton."

Once again he breaks her heart.

On to book 3. This is going to be epic!!!!
