Bash, Volume I-3 (Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club #3 - #5) by Candace Blevins *ARC REVIEW*

Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club Bash Series by Candace Blevins

Blurb - BOOK 1

Date of Publication: October 16th, 2015
Book one of the Bash trilogy…

Angelica was raised not only as a biker’s daughter, but as Bud’s daughter — the president of the Atlanta RTMC, which meant she also had dozens of ‘uncles’ who made sure she was safe, happy, loved, secure.

Needless to say, her virginity was still solidly intact when she left for college.

She goes to school up north, where no one knows she’s a biker’s daughter at heart, and thoroughly enjoys her time as a civilian. She gets rid of her pesky virginity right away, but is mostly a good girl while she buckles down to get her degree, staying at school even during the summers to take as many classes as she can fit in.

She’s a different person when she comes home with her Master’s degree, and in spite of her intention to remain a civilian, some of the bikers don’t seem so much like uncles, anymore.

Blurb - BOOK 2

Their lives just got complicated, but neither of them are the type to travel the easy road.

Date of Publication: November 6th, 2015
Book two of the Bash trilogy…

Will Bud want to tear Bash to pieces? How is Dawg going to fit into all of this? Will the Disciples retaliate? And now that the District Attorney is in Angelica’s life, can she get him out?

Bash may have claimed her in both wolf and human form, but Angelica isn't likely to just roll over and show him her belly every time he gives her an order. One night of incredible sex doesn’t mean the relationship will be smooth sailing. They both want it to work, though, and they’re both used to getting what they want.

Blurb - BOOK 3

Date of Publication: November 20, 2015
Book three of the Bash trilogy…

Will Angelica save herself, or will she have to be saved? Either way, knowing what Bud and Bash are capable of, do we want to know the repercussions?

Follow Bash, Angelica, and the rest of the MC for the exciting conclusion.

Warning: BDSM activities, intense kink, blazing hot ménage sex, smoldering couple’s sex, danger, intrigue, and more alpha werewolf bad-asses than you’d want to shake a stick at.

This is the final installment of a three book story, with a happy ending and no cliffhangers.

Warning - All 3 books: Blazing hot sex, a touch of BDSM, tons of raw kink, and some unconventional ménage play along with danger, intrigue, and an abundance of bad-ass werewolf bikers who are used to getting their way.

Angelica
Kayla met me in the bathroom after last period, and watched as I changed out of my super tiny mini-skirt into jeans. God, if my dad saw me in this skirt he'd have an aneurism.
"I can't believe you lost Brain. God, Ang, he's the best biker-bitch you've had yet."
Speaking of aneurisms, my dad nearly had one when he found out Kayla called me Ang. He calls me Angel, but says no one else is allowed to shorten my name. One of the reasons I love Kayla is she isn't afraid of my dad, or any of the other bikers, and she just kept calling me what she wanted.
I shrugged as I buttoned my jeans and stowed the skirt in my backpack. "I got one of the new guys, I've only met him a couple of times. He looks like he's pissed at the world, and I seriously doubt he's going to be any fucking help at all with my calculus or chemistry homework."
"He have a cool name?" she asked as we left the bathroom.
"Bash, and best I can tell, it isn't ‘cause he's bashful. And damn, the boy is beautiful." And he'd be so fucking pissed if he knew I'd called him a boy.
"How you gonna break him in?"
I shook my head. "Haven't decided. He's actually kinda scary, even for one of my dad's men. Also, I don't think he's that much older than us. I know when he first came, he couldn't have even the prospect patch yet, 'cause he wasn't old enough. They treated him like one, which had to suck, but he didn't get his first patch until a few weeks ago, so I think he just turned eighteen."
"You know his story?"
I shook my head. "He has a fucked up accent though. He isn't from around here."
Kayla showed the assistant principal the note from her mom saying she could ride home with me, and he waved us to the RTMC vehicle waiting in the car line.
I got into the front passenger seat and settled my backpack at my feet as I put my seatbelt on and told him, "Bash, meet Kayla. She's my BFF and you're her ride now, too. Not just mine."
He breathed deep, and I assumed he'd just realized she's human and not wolf, and I added, "We have a problem, you take care of her first, then me. I can handle myself a few minutes, but she isn't a fighter. Get me?"
He pulled forward and glanced in his rear view mirror at Kayla before looking forward again. "My orders are to keep you safe, Princess."
I sighed and leaned my head back, looking at the road instead of him. "Those are your orders from my dad. Thing is, I can make your life a living hell if I want, or I can help make this a cushy assignment until you get your patch. I've grown up in the club, I know the drill. When Kayla and I became best friends in the fourth grade, our dads had a talk. Their agreement was she'd come to the house, but never to the club, and there'd be no parties at our house when she's over. She hasn't been around ya'll much at all. Her parents have met my prospect chauffeurs over the years, and they're mostly chilled about it now, but they'll need to meet you sometime this week."
"Basically," Kayla said from the backseat, "you're our bitch now. You're our ride when we need one, and you go get stuff we need, even if it's tampons at two in the morning. You'll carry our packages for us when we go shopping at the mall, and if we ask if our ass looks fat when we try on clothes, you'll be honest and tell it to us straight from a guy's perspective."
"And not," I added, my voice low and deep, "from my father's viewpoint." I held my wolf in, so I didn't growl at him in front of Kayla. "I know you're supposed to cock-block us, but I also know you can't actually hurt any of the guys." He held his hand up, thinking he could silence me, and I said, "Fuck you, asshole. I'll talk when I fuckin' want to."

My review of all 3 books in the Bash Series

Volume 1

Candace Blevins starts us off with a nice look down memory lane.  Told in dual POV's. We see Bash starting off as a young and upcoming MC member. He's prospecting for the Atlanta RTMC, and given the task of being the bodyguard to the Prez's daughter, Angelica. Taking on the job of babysitting Angel is no easy task. She's sassy and a big bully (I find). Angel and Bash butt heads continuously, and soon enough we see them both engaging in an easy going friendship that's laced with sexual tension. However, being a prospect, Bash can't take the chance to screw up. Otherwise, he's out of the MC. As youngsters they both have this undeniable draw to the other. But each are looking to make their own place in the world. Bash as a member of the MC and Angel is looking to head to college.

“Since we’re being so honest, I’ll admit I’ve wanted to fuck you since I first saw you, even before my dad assigned you to me. I kept a lid on it because he took guys away from me if he thought I had the hots for them too bad"

Fast forward some years, and we're brought into the present. Angel has returned home, with her academia under her belt, and a new job on the horizon, she needs to settle and focus on the positive's in her life. I loved the way Angel was portrayed. A sexy and sassy youth, turned vivacious, independent and ambitious adult. She has a good head on her shoulders, and as much as she loves her family, she still understands that, she cannot be as closely associated with them. Especially when it comes to her career. Her ability to separate the two is commendable. In no way does she lose an respect for her family. By far, she gains and shows them more respect, by allowing them to always be there for her, while she progresses in life.

Now, Bash. To me, he is such an anti-hero. So scary and literally bad ass. Sociopathic at times. Yet, somewhere deep, deep, deep, down. He has a softer side. Which I can safely say isn't so easy to spot, probably can be non existent. But hey, we do see it in small doses. Bash is all about the club. He lives, eats and breathes the club. Even with the return of Angelica, even he keeps both lives separate. I loved Bash's darkness. He tried to keep it at bay. but when he came out to play, hell!! it was hot!!

"I wasn’t positive I wanted her, but I was certain I couldn’t let anyone else have her."

With Angelica's return, the intensity and chemistry between her and Bash is tantamount to that of a nuclear explosion. These two.. from adolescence to adulthood, from protector, to friendship, to lust filled encounters and desire ridden embraces. Their paranormal abilities only serves to intensify the emotions running rampant through the other. What I loved the most with Angelica and Bash, was their brutal honesty. They both knew what they wanted, what they were associated with (the MC) and all the repercussions that could befall them.

“Ain’t gonna be smooth sailing. We do this, you’re mine.”

What I absolutely hated, was Angelica and Thomas's relationship. How vulnerable she was with him, and the way she allowed him to affect and jeopardize the MC. I thought that was extremely stupid for an MC brat. Born and bred in the club life. She should have known better. I felt as if she was running from her feelings for Bash. And because of this, she made silly mistakes with Thomas.

The story ends on a cliffy, so on to volume 2.

Volume 2

Well, well, well.. Candace Blevins surely gives us all a run for our money. She really heats up this volume. We have a ménage, a stalker, and a raging father and MC Prez, who is out for blood. Tense, sexy, exhilarating and scary as f**k. Ohh lawdyyy is all I can say.

Bash and Angel have started their relationship. Everyone is on edge. From the Prez, to the club. Claiming Angelica as his own wasn't an easy feat, keeping it that way is even harder than they both considered.

Neither Bash nor Angelica shies away from their true essence. Both are hard core tough asses. Stubborn and difficult, yet so very in sync at times. Such a conundrum for me. The sexual aspect of the story is amped up. Bash and Angelica engage in a ménage. Which creates certain tension with Dawg. He doesn't know where he will fit in. The layers of conflict only adds to the intensity of the story and the already surrounding tension with the MC and Bash and Angelica. Serious angst. Yum!!

“You were always stubborn and headstrong.”

“Right, so it should come as no surprise I still am.”

I loved the way Candace showed the complexity of Bash, yet made him so likeable. He was intense and determined. The need to protect Angelica as well as the MC was fierce and so endearing.

As the novel progresses Candace hits us with trouble from the District Attorney. In retaliation to Angelica's unrequited love. Along with trouble for the MC. The story itself is complex and travels from one obstacle to another, all thickening the plot.

Another cliffy.. Volume 3 now.

Volume 3

Volume 1 and 2 successfully set the pace for the entire story, volume 3 was without a doubt, the perfect conclusion. Well worth the wait and all those darn cliffies.

Angelica has been safely rescued and returned to her loved ones. The trauma of the kidnapping leaves its residual claws in her. Making her emotions run amok with fear. Along with this fear, Bash and Angelica, need to learn how to relate to each other within their relationship. In the beginning, they started off being in sync with each other. But, that was the early stages of their coupling. Now that we can safely see the relationship mature, all the normal couple issues comes to the forefront. Especially that of communication. These two are so bull headed that they cause their own problems. At times, I wanted to knock them both out. But, with Bash, I did understand his issues. He has never been in a relationship, so for him, it's all new and a  total culture shock. From being a loner and only having to think about his club. Transitioning into a relationship excluding the club, an with a female, can be difficult.

We see a lot of the issues throughout the series being resolved, secrets are revealed and Bash and Angelica both move on. Focusing on their relationship and the MC trials.

I must gush over how much I loved the paranormal mix into this contemporary biker novel. It was an added bonus, to learn about the shifters, and the varying parts they played in the story. Along with how the entire plot was affected. Well down, and uniquely thought out.

One of my major issues, with Volume 3 was Angelica's shooting of her kidnappers. I simply thought it was unrealistic. Along with her being a strong heroine, I couldn't quite understand her fears after the kidnapping. And in hindsight, with that topping off all the underlying plots, it seemed like over kill for the entire story.
