“Baby,” I barely got out as I saw the first tear escape his eye. My legs went out from underneath me; Hunter resumed his position as my body fell to the ground. He straddled my torso, bent on his knees above me, strangling the life out of me. He quickly glanced down at my hands, spotting my wedding ring, and a sob broke through his gritted teeth, and his hands suddenly dropped to the ground. Thank you, Jesus!

I gulped air into my now burning lungs, which put me in a coughing fit. As soon as I made eye contact with Hunter, I cupped his head that was now bowed down, resting on my chest. Slowly, I pulled his heavy head up. Hunter’s face was now full of pain; teardrops fell from his dimpled cheeks, and onto my chest. 

“I can’t…I fuckin’ love you too damn much to kill you.” His confession stilled my heart. I didn’t know what to say; all that was left was to do. Gently wiping away the sweat and tears from his face with the bottom of my tank top, I sat up on kitchen floor. Hunter sat back on his haunches, his shoulders rolled forward; the look of defeat was the very definition of how he looked. I knelt up onto my knees in front of him, our kneecaps touching. I was in love with the man who almost just killed me by asphyxiation. I’m fucking fucked.

I know the alcohol played a part in his emotional display, but I’d never seen him like this. Broken. I stroked back his hair, and pulled him up to face me; Hunter now straightened up onto his knees, my head had to tip back so that I could see the man I loved. My eyes roamed his face, first his eyes, then his lips. Hunter was doing the same to me; the tension between us could have been cut with a knife.

“Then don’t…” I trailed off as Hunter’s lips came crashing down onto mine. I pressed my body flush with his. As he groaned I opened my mouth, welcoming him into me. Hunter’s large hands trailed down my back, and cupped my ass. Eager, he lifted me up, and my legs wrapped around his waist. As Hunter held onto me, he pushed off the ground one leg at a time, with me latched onto the front of his body. Stumbling in the hallway, Hunter bumped my back into the wall as he stumbled over fallen picture frames. I tore my mouth away from his as I leaned back and ripped my tank and sports bra over my head.

In Burning Desire, we've given two young lovers, from two MC clubs. Both destined for greater roles within their clubs.

 Chase DeLuca a son of the Hell's Rebels MC has been best friends with Jeremy Moretti, son to the President of the Condemned Angels MC, since they were boys. Growing up together, Chase soon starting developing feelings for Jeremy's sister, Roxanne. Sharing mutual feelings, Roxanne and Chase play lustful games with each other until Roxanne's father puts a stop to it. Letting each know the role they have to play within their respective clubs, along with knowing that clubs don't mix. Roxanne and Chase turn their attentions to focus on college and his MC.

Years later, Roxanne and Chase both return. Chase is now the VP for the Hell's Rebels and Roxy, exiting with a college degree, is now dancing in her bother, Jeremy's club. While dating the club treasure, Jake. This dynamic - Jake and Roxy- is supposed to produce an heir for the Condemned Angels, along with ensuring Jake's rank and roots within the Condemned Angels MC. 

When Roxy and Chase reunite as adults, the undeniable attraction from their younger years has intensified to scorching degrees. Roxanne is a betty boop and oh la la, Chase DeLuca is all lean muscle and tattoos. As these two continue to play games with each other, their is a suspenseful underlying plot brewing within the ranks of the MC that gives Chase the ammunition he needs to finally go after Roxanne. 

Within the story we are introduced to secondary characters that will soon get their own books. Yes! I read ahead :):). All in all this was an okay introductory short, sassy and sexy novella. Fast paced and enticing, yet somewhat lacking for me. I am an avid MC fan and voracious MC reader, so this honestly didn't cut it with falling into the fierce MC characteristics I have learnt about through reading and google.  Oh! TV also lolz. Additionally, the fickleness of Roxanne's character was exhausting and her vainness was overbearing and immature as an MC heroine. So simply an okay read for me. 

P.S. It end's on a cliffy. So you have to move on to book 2 for closure.

3 stars Ride Hard (Condemned Angels MC #2)

In this book, we finally get some closure on Chase and Roxy's story. Book 1 ended with a cliffy. So it was nice to get their story out of the way. In book 1 we were introduced to varying characters and we've given Jeremy and Nicole's story this time around. OOooooo and we get yummy Hunter!!!

Nicole is Roxy's best friend and of course Jeremy is her brother. So brother and best friend get together, yup! they're keeping it in the family. Close knit, no joke!

Nicole and Jeremy have known each other forever......... One night many years ago, Jeremy saved Nicole and what ensued after was the setting stone for years of desire and grief. Neither willing to move forward and claim what they wanted. Each going forward and yet, non were progressing. Jeremy and Nicole danced around one another's life, each looking in from a distance. Living together and dancing at Jeremy's club,  they are without a doubt in each others faces everyday and all the time.

Resolute not to be hurt ever again, Nicole settles for the friendly, hunky, super sexy badass biker, Hunter. Swoon!!!!!!! Hunter just made my day.

In the midst of Nicole and Jeremy attempting to sort themselves out, dragging my poor Hunter poo in their midst, ugghhH!!!!, the plot thickens and the Condemned Angels are facing the backlash of their actions from another MC. The Devils are out for a full on war, but as they turn their hatred and guns towards the Condemned Angels, it is soon revealed that Nicole has a big part to play.

Cliffy!! again. On to book 3 now.

This book wasn't really my cup of tea. My stars are all for Chase and Roxy, Hunter poo and the suspense of the plot.

3.5 Stars Reckless Abandon (Condemned Angels MC #3)

My fav!! book in this series so far. All because of Hunter!! Yummm!

In the last book it was uncovered that Nicole was kidnapped by the Devil's MC in lieu of a greater plot. Now within their ranks Nicole is forced to perform ungodly acts while a hostaged Jeremy looks on, Nicole and Jeremy both hurt for the other. Jeremy finally claims Nicole as his Old Lady. With their love story being pursued, a bigger plot comes  to the forefront. Hunter finds his wife, not only in collusion with the enemy, but the Devil himself, she's his Old Lady. 

While enclosed within the Devil's compound, Hunter and Eva (his legal wife he hasn't seen in years) disclose all their pain and heartbreak through flashbacks from their time together. Learning the true reason that Eva manipulated and betrayed him all those years ago, pains Hunter even more. Knowing that he loved Eva, wholly and was resolute in their union. It just breaks him even more.

Years that separated them hasn't ceased the love that both Hunter and Eva feel for each other. However, Eva is hiding a secret that will ultimately become her downfall. One man will fight for her and the other will fight to bury her.

The book changed the dynamics of this series exponentially. I loved Hunter and Eva's story and can't wait for more.

I was born and raised in a small working class town in Essex, just outside of East London. I am married with three sons and in 2006 we all moved to the other side of the world, settling on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, about 50K outside of Melbourne, Australia. Spoilers

This was an issue for me. All the kinky, sexual, voyeuristic tendancies went caputs!! when Meebs and Conner became intimate again. Their sexually intimate scenes was downright disappointing. I expected more physical passion and some kinkiness. BUT!! NADDA.

I had a hard time not feeling an intense sense of deja vue with LJ's Carnage series.(Carnage is downright the best book ever written). This aspect threw me off many times while reading. I kept shaking my head, lots.

Nina is such a weak heroine to me. She was such a push over. It pissed me off, greatly!

Loves

 Conner was and is my most favourite person and character. I loved his rags to riches tale, along with the tortured soul and his sexual exploits. Gosh, his exhibitionistic tendencies gave me major female boners!!!

A vibrant, sexy and rich young woman, that lives directly across from her "subject." Clara isn't accustomed to the lifestyle of the rich, but as Rain Martines, it's a lifestyle that she is supposed to be more than accustomed to. Armed with all her accessories, Rain Matines is more than ready to capture the attention of  Luke Boone.

Clara is on a mission for success. Looking to not only do the right thing but to also advance her career as an F.B.I. agent. She soon learns that being undercover isn't easy. Especially when she starts to have feelings for her target.  

Becoming emotionally attached to Luke is a cardinal rule that should never be broken. Yet, the fine line between good and bad never felt so exquisite.

Rain is a breath of fresh air for Luke. She makes is easy and comfortable to be around her. K.A. Tucker portrayed both their warring emotions aptly, giving us insight into their distress. I went on to love that their attraction was secondary to the actual plot of the story. The suspense kept me enthralled and excited to see what happens.

As their attraction grows and the severity and danger of being undercover intensifies, Clara finds herself believing in Luke and the goodness and innocence that is hidden behind his playboy facade. With the intricate criminal web his uncle created, Luke wants so much to live up to his uncle's expectations that he believes anything his uncle tells him.  Rain tries to extract ever little bit of pertinent information she can, while protecting Luke in anyway possible. Luke in turn whats Rain by his side. He believes she is perfect for him. But are they both cut out for this lifestyle?....

She’s a breath of fresh air in this world that I’m finding myself in, a world in which, when I’m lying in the quiet dark and taking long than usual to fall asleep, doesn’t feel quite right.
